Last in his class. Not last in life.
Danny graduated from West Point as the Goat, the cadet who finishes last in class rank. He went on to lead soldiers, build a company, and earn a seat at the table with a College Football Playoff program.
Danny believes you can solve anything you set your mind to, and his career is proof. He loves sharing what he has learned along the way and showing people how they can do the same, whether they lead a sales team, run a small business, or are just getting started.
Danny's story is not about having every advantage. It is about deciding what he wanted, putting in the work before anyone was watching, and refusing to stay where he started.
Danny graduated from West Point as the Goat, the cadet who finishes last in class rank. He went on to lead soldiers, build a company, and earn a seat at the table with a College Football Playoff program.
While still on active duty, Danny started volunteering with high school football programs, learned exactly what coaches needed, and taught himself how to build it. That work became his company, Recon Sports.
Danny has closed nearly $1M in technology sales as a founder and as an advisor to other companies, without a business development team behind him. He owned every deal from the first conversation to delivery.

Danny Davis is a leader and problem solver who built his career by mastering what he didn't know yet. A West Point graduate, Division I football player and former Army Captain, he was selected to build and lead a newly created reconnaissance unit, was accountable for over $100M in government assets, and started his own company while still on active duty.
He put years of work into his company, Recon Sports, before it ever paid him back. That groundwork won a multi-year partnership with University of Tennessee Football, with systems Danny built running across every department of a program that reached the College Football Playoff. Along the way he has closed nearly $1M in technology sales as a founder and as an advisor to other companies, owning each deal from the first conversation through delivery.
Today he leads enterprise platform work for one of Microsoft's leading consulting partners, bringing the same approach to every industry he enters: learn fast, build the system, deliver.
Outside of work, Danny is invested in his family and community. He and his wife Rebecca live in western Kentucky with their Golden Retriever and Belgian Malinois, and he stays close to the game by volunteering with high school football programs and speaking at veterans events.
Keynotes, team talks and podcast conversations for sales teams, small businesses, conferences, schools and veterans groups. Every talk is built around your audience and what you want them to walk away with.
How to stop measuring yourself by your starting point, keep going when it gets hard, and build toward a goal bigger than your current situation.
For any team, company or conferenceHow Danny closed nearly $1M as a founder: earning trust in the first conversation, understanding the real problem, and owning the deal all the way through delivery.
For sales teams and business ownersWhat investing in yourself actually means, and how to do it on purpose so your skills, confidence and opportunities keep compounding.
For professionals, students and growing teamsOwning outcomes, making sound decisions without every answer, and keeping people moving in the same direction when the path isn't clear.
For leadership teams and veterans groupsSpeaker at the county's POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony, and a regular voice for high school football programs and veterans events in his community.
Danny is the fourth member of his family to graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he played Division I football and earned a B.S. in Systems Engineering. West Point taught him how to lead in uncertainty, how to make sound decisions when he doesn't have every answer, and how to own the outcome. Those standards still shape how he works.
Where you start does not decide where you finish.
Danny graduated as the class Goat, the cadet who finishes last in class rank. It is one of West Point's oldest traditions, and the whole Corps cheers the Goat across the stage. George Custer and George Pickett both earned the title, and both went on to become generals. Where you start doesn't dictate where you'll end up, or how successful you'll be.
Every step has the same pattern: take the role that requires ownership, build what doesn't exist yet, and deliver where the expectations are highest.
A First Team All-State linebacker, Danny was recruited to play Division I football at West Point.

Graduated from the United States Military Academy and commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer.

Founded Recon Sports while on active duty, volunteering as a mentor and resource for high school football programs and learning what coaches actually needed.

Selected as the first officer to build and lead a newly created reconnaissance unit for an infantry division, and accountable for more than $100M in government assets over his service.

Recon Sports won a multi-year partnership with University of Tennessee Football, and the program reached the College Football Playoff with systems Danny built running across every department.

Leads enterprise platform work for one of Microsoft's leading consulting partners and advises Recon Sports, applying the same approach to every industry he enters.
